Switching to OECU…

Switching your financial information has now been made easier. OECU will help you step by step with transferring your current account activity to your new account. We have developed form letters that you can use to make this transition as smooth as possible. This will allow you to contact any companies and financial institutions that make automatic deposits and withdrawals from your current account. Simply follow these three steps and you are on your way!

Step 1:

Click here to open your new account. If you already have an existing account with OECU go to step 2.

Step 2:

Obtain a one-month history of transactions from your current financial institution to review the items that are automatically debited or credited from your account. This is going to help you determine who to send any change notices to.

Click here to print notification of change to the companies that automatically debit funds from your account.

Click here to print written notification of change to the companies that deposit funds into your account.

Click here to print a notice to the financial institution saying that you wish to close your account.

**It is important that you make sure all checks, automatic debits, direct deposits, and any pending debits have cleared the account before closing.

Step 3:

Mail all documents to the designated companies or financial institutions that you wish to change. Follow up to make sure all changes have been made and that there is no additional paperwork that needs to be completed.
