Position Summary

The Universal Banker serves as a vital member of OECU’s front-line team, delivering exceptional member service through a blend of traditional teller functions and personal banking responsibilities. This multi-functional role is responsible for processing financial transactions, opening and maintaining accounts, educating members on products and digital services, and identifying opportunities to deepen relationships through appropriate financial solutions. With a strong commitment to service excellence and teamwork, the Universal Banker plays a key role in supporting branch goals, enhancing member satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of OECU.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to and assisting members with inquiries and problem resolution
  • Establishing member relationships through courteous and friendly service
  • Identifying Member needs and referring financial products and services

Credit Support Specialist

Position Summary

The Credit Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the credit and lending functions of OECU. This position is responsible for performing a variety of a variety of administrative, clerical, and analytical tasks to assist loan officers, underwriters, and members throughout the loan process. Duties include gathering and verifying loan documentation, performing credit checks, monitoring loan files for completeness and compliance, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding items. This position contributes to a positive member experience by delivering prompt, accurate, and courteous service while supporting the overall lending goals of OECU.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform review of disbursed loans
  • Scans reviewed loans into digital loan vault platform
  • Track exceptions
  • Perform quality assurance on banking and lending forms
  • Gather online loan applications to disburse to the appropriate loan officer
  • Call members regarding promotional items
  • Mail documents to members
  • Review, approve, track, and process skip-a-pays
  • Provide loan pay offs to dealers, insurance companies, and/or members
  • Complete and distribute lien releases on paid off collateral loans
  • Cooperate with other personnel regarding lending matters to ensure a “team effort” and prompt member service
  • Collect insurance coverage and submit to credit union insurance company
  • Add force placed insurance to collateral loans as needed
  • File gap claims on total loss vehicles
  • Cancel Gap and extended warranty products on repossessed vehicles
  • Prepare for quarterly audits
  • Organize file folders
  • Other tasks as assigned

Accountant 

Position Summary

The Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of OECU by performing a wide range of accounting and financial reporting functions. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements and assisting with budgeting and audits. A strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to confidentiality and accuracy are essential for success in this role. The Accountant contributes to the financial health and strategic growth of OECU by ensuring sound financial management and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reconciling a diverse set of general ledger balance sheets accounts.
  • Continuously following up on all reconciling items and providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Managing a set of complex bank account transactions.
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliation reports for senior management.
  • Assisting with the setup of GL accounts, financial statement mapping, and reconciliation workflow of new products and services.
  • Assist with audit requests in an organized state in a timely manner.
  • Performing all other related duties and/or projects assigned to meet the needs of the organization.
